Summer is such an amazing time for kids to relax, play outside, and grow! At the same time, though, two months away from school can mean that they start to lose a lot of the progress they made in academics this school year. Summer reading programs are a great way to keep kids’ eyes on books and prevent that dreaded “summer slide”.
This summer reading bingo activity turns summer reading into a fun game! Whether they’re being challenged to pick a new kind of book (“read a fantasy story”) or to read in a new place (like a blanket fort!), kids will be motivated to read in all sorts of new ways!
